From Greensboro and points west

Take I-40 East and exit onto exit 266, Hwy 86 South
Turn right from the ramp onto Highway 86 South
You will proceed for several miles, the road will become Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
When you get downtown, the road will become Columbia St.
Continue south on this road until the road forces you to turn.
Turn Right, and then at the light, make an immediate left onto Pittsboro St.
You will pass the Carolina Inn parking lot on your left.
Turn left at the first light, at McCauley St.
Make an immediate right onto Pharmacy Lane
Make another immediate right into the parking garage beneath the GEC.

From RDU Airport and points east

Take 1-40 West to Exit 266
Turn left from the ramp onto Highway 86 South
Follow directions given above from this point on.

From Durham and points north

Follow I-85 to its intersection with Hwy 15-501 South.
Follow 15-501 south towards Chapel Hill
Once in Chapel Hill, the highway will divide.
Bear right at the fork in the road to get onto Franklin Street
Continue on Franklin Street till you get to Columbia Street
Turn left onto Columbia Street, and then follow directions given above.

From Pittsboro and points south

Take US-64 Bus to Highway 15-501 North
Proceed on 15-501 till it becomes NC-86 North
On campus, 86 will become Columbia Street. Proceed on Columbia till you get to McCauley St.
Turn left onto McCauley, and then make an immediate left onto Pharmacy Lane
Make an immediate right into the parking garage of the GEC.

Parking

There are two half-hour metered spots on Pharmacy Lane, right outside the Global Education Center. After 5 pm, there is free parking in the garage underneath the Global Education Center (the entrance of which is off Pharmacy Lane, off of MacCauley Street, in between Columbia and Pittsboro streets). There is also parking after 8 pm in Beard Lot, which is right outside the Global Education Center, a little further down Pharmacy Lane. The Campus Visitors Lots have parking available for a nominal fee. City bus lines also serve park and ride lots in the area.
