- Latino Migration Project
The UNC – Duke Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies is pleased to invite you to participate in a publication visual expo that will take place as part of the Consortium Conference on February 15-16, 2013. The expo provides a forum to highlight Latin American/Caribbean scholarly work done by Duke and UNC faculty and graduate students, as well as to broadly promote these scholarly resources with the Consortium’s larger constituency.
The expo will consist of a visual presentation of publication titles from both faculty and graduate students within the past two years. The publications may be digital or printed books by a single author or edited volumes, as well as journal articles, or book chapters. Kindly submit the title of the publication, name of the author(s) or editor(s), the year of publication, copyright information, and an image of the cover (optional, but encouraged).
In addition to the visual presentation, the expo will also provide a venue to highlight new journals edited by faculty and/or graduate students. In this case, please submit the title of the journal, a brief description of it that includes the types of works it seeks and targeted audience, as well as the name(s) of the editor(s)/editorial committee. This information will be presented on easel boards for conference participants and attendees to view. Should you wish to include a copy of the journal cover, please include the necessary material.
Please send the above-mentioned information to Amy Vargas-Tonsi at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00pm on Monday, January 11, 2013.
Note: The Consortium Conference Committee reserves the right to make all final decisions on selection of submitted materials.
