The Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University brings you this work shop for k-12 and college educators. The workshop will orientate you to all of the resources available through the consortium. Learn about “Border Odyssey” an effective interactive teaching tool about the U.S-Mexico Border and related social, political, and economic issues, led by Professor Charlie Thompson. Work with Guatemalan artist José Cupertino Delgado and local Mexican-American artist Cornelio Campos to explore art as a means for engaged cultural learning. The goal of the workshop is to leave with hands on lessons to bring to your classroom.
