Dr. Anna Mariella Bacigalupo’s, of Harvard University, work includes Shamans of the Foye Tree: Gender power and Healing Among Chilean Mapuche, and The Voice of the Drum in Modernity: Tradition and Change in the Practice of the Seven Mapuche Shamans. She is currently working on a new book titled “Shamanic Memory and Historical Consciousness: The Making of Francisca Colipe and her Mapuche Community in Chile.”
