A talk sponsored by the Reproductive Justice Working Group. With guest speaker Xóchitl Castañeda.Dr. Castañeda directs the Health Initiatives of the Americas which facilitates the development of innovative strategies, collaborative projects, and effective binational policy changes. Dr. Castañeda previously served as a professor and researcher for seven years at Mexico’s National Institute of Public Health, where she also directed the Department of Reproductive Health. A medical anthropologist by training, Dr. Castañeda was trained in Guatemala, Mexico, and in the U.S. at Harvard University and the University of California, San Francisco.
