The Graduate Certificate in Participatory Research (GCPR) is an interdisciplinary certificate program for graduate students at UNC Chapel Hill seeking training in the theoretical bases, rationale, methodologies, challenges, and motivations for carrying out research in equitable partnership with communities, instead of on communities.
This celebration is open to anyone interested in the Certificate. This will be a time for UNC faculty and students from across campus to hear a brief presentation on the Certificate Program and introduce themselves. We will take the rest of the time to talk, enjoy food from Vimala’s Curryblossom Café, and celebrate the start of a new academic year in which we can better organize and support each other in collaborative, community-based and participatory research projects!
