Please join WGELA next week for another one of our lunch talks! We will be hosting Julie Greene, a professor of history at the University of Maryland and author of The Canal Builders: Making America’s Empire at the Panama Canal. In this discussion, she will explore the role the tropics played in shaping the project as well as some of the challenges faced due to the project’s necessary interaction with the environment.
All are welcome. However, to ensure a discussion oriented environment, we have limited space and ask that you please RSVP to this event here. Lunch will be provided.
