Shrikant Bangdiwala

Research Professor of Biostatistics

I have been statistical co-investigator of several cardiovascular health trials in adults and in children, and more recently consultant to several community-based participatory research studies focusing on obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular, cancer and other diseases. Currently am designated as a ‘Fulbright Senior Specialist’ in Global Public Health and a member of the Board of Scientific Counselors of the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. I also hold visiting faculty appointments at the University of Valparaiso (Chile), and at University of Chile in Santiago. I served as Statistical Editor of the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, am currently co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Injury Control & Safety Promotion, and was elected member of the International Statistical Institute. Topics of research interests: Nonparametric methods, Methodology for clinical trials, Reliability and validity of diagnostic tests, Graphical methods for descriptive analyses.
