Carlos Lechuga’s (Santa y Andrés y Melaza) poignant third feature follows Vicenta Bravo, a gifted Afro-Cuban woman who can see into the future and commune with spirits. Every day, people seek her out for guidance, but her world crumbles when her beloved son decides to emigrate, leaving her adrift in a crisis that blinds her to the unfolding events around her. Anchored by a compelling performance, Vicenta B is a quiet and touching chronicle of the post-Cuban revolution.
