Congratulations to Professor Emil Keme!
All of us at ISA are delighted to join the friends and colleagues of Emil Keme (Romance Studies) in extending our warmest congratulations for the publication of Le Maya Q’atzij/Nuestra palabra Maya. Winner of the 2020 Casa de las Américas literary criticism prize under the category “Native Peoples of the Américas,” Le Maya Q’atzij/Nuestra palabra Maya was published by Casa de las Américas in Cuba. The English edition of the book–Le Maya Q’atzij/Our Maya Word–will be published in 2021 by University of Minnesota Press in the series “Indigenous Americas.”
