ISA’s Building Integrated Communities program is hiring

ISA’s Building Integrated Communities program is excited to hire two full-time bilingual positions and expand our team. The positions are based at UNC Chapel Hill and are grant-funded for a three year period with health insurance and benefits.

The Language Access Coordinator will prepare and facilitate a hybrid language access training course for teams of NC local governments and community partners. This position will support teams to conduct self-assessments, access demographic data, and design and implement action plans. Ideal candidates will have experience in the areas of interpretation and translation, teaching or training (particularly on virtual platforms), and language access/justice best practices. The Bilingual Program Coordinator will coordinate and provide administration of the BIC Community Partners, a program that supports NC local governments to conduct a community assessment, facilitate a participatory planning process engaging local immigrant residents, and implement of plans. Ideal candidates have experience in community engagement, demographic research (qualitative and/or quantitative), NC immigration issues, and strong written and oral communication skills.
